http://spectrum.ieee.org/tech-talk/biomedical/devices/silicon-cochlea-mimics-human-hearing – Our partner UZH’s work on neuromorphic ears is featured in IEEE Spectrum.  Devices that mimick human neural processing are one promising avenue to achieve very low power consumption as required by a hearing aid.
